  • Notice of Temporary Road Closure

    Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (the “Order”) (NTRO10861) affecting the Kettlestone Road from its junction with The Warren for 66 metres north-westwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Little Snoring to facilitate installation of electrical cable works, the Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be from 23rd February 2026 to 6th March 2026, but may continue to be closed/restricted until the 17th April 2026 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.

    Alternative route is via: Kettlestone Road, Thursford Road, The Hill, C317 The Street, A148 Holt Road (Kettlestone, Little Snoring).

    The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: ESP Electricity Limited.

    Vehicular access will be permitted to a final destination in the Road where signs indicating such access is possible and permitted are in place.

    The Order shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 17th April 2026 without further notice.

    If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date the Order is effective.

    A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

    In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

    Alternative route is via: Kettlestone Road, Thursford Road, The Hill, C317 The Street, A148 Holt Road (Kettlestone, Little Snoring).

    Norfolk County Council (Little Snoring), Emergency Notice

    Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026

    Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Little Snoring (NTRO10827) Notice In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to a burst water main the use by vehicles (of any class) of the C317 Snoring Road from 630 metres south of its junction with Dilldash Lane for 50 metres southwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Little Snoring will be temporarily prohibited. Alternative route is via: C317 Snoring Road, The Street, A148 Holt Road, A148 Fakenham Bypass, B1105 Barsham Road, C586 Fakenham Road, C586 Walsingham Road, C586 High Street, C597 Common Place, C317 Snoring Road (Great Snoring, Fakenham, Little Snoring, Kettlestone, Barsham, Walsingham, Sculthorpe). The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Anglian Water. The closure/restriction is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road or both. The closure/restriction is anticipated to take place from 22nd to 28th January 2026 but the Road may continue to be closed/restricted until the 11th February 2026 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates. This Notice shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works / when the closure/restriction is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 11th February 2026 without further notice. If necessary, this Notice may be extended for an additional 21 days by further Notice and/or for a maximum of 18 months from the date this Notice is effective by further Order. A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/ closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.
