    NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (NTRO7666) affecting The Street from 20m south of its junction with Barsham Road for 30m southwards in the PARISH OF GREAT SNORING to facilitate works for a new water connection.

    The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 4th to 6th March 2024 for the duration of the works expected to be about 3 days within the period.

    Alternative route is via: The Street, Walsingham Road, Snoring Road, Thursford Road, North Lane, Hindringham Road, A148 Fakenham Road/ Holt Road, Great Snoring Road, Norwich Road (Little Snoring, Kettlestone, Great Snoring, Hindringham, Thursford, Walsingham).

    If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order.

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

    In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to emergency tree works the use by vehicles of the C317 Snoring Road from 650m north of its junction with Barsham Road for 250m northwards in the PARISH OF GREAT SNORING will be temporarily prohibited from 2nd to 3rd February 2023 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 2 days within the period.

    This Notice has a maximum duration of 21 days. Where exceptional circumstances are encountered during the performance of the works specified in this Notice, the operational period of this Notice may become extended by issuing an Order or further Notice to allow completion of the works for a maximum duration of 18 months.
